| Room Moderator mIRC Setup Guide |
To set up your mIRC installation and get into the operations room, please follow the instructions below:
1. Double-click the file you should have downloaded from this page.
2. Click "Next >" three times.
3. Click "Yes" for the popup asking you to created the destination directory.
4. Click "Start".
5. Once the files have finished installing, click "Next >".
6. Click "Exit".
7. Double-click the mIRC icon now on your desktop named "ukcbops" (or similar).
8. On the screen that pops up, enter your UKChatterbox profile name into the box that says "Nickname".
9. On the left click "Servers" (underneath "Connect").
10. Click the "Edit" button.
11. In the window that pops up, enter your UKChatterbox profile password in the box that says "Password".
12. Click "Ok".
13. Click "Ok" again.
14. Click the yellow icon at the very top left to connect to the chat. This should also join you to the operations room.
To get back into the chat after closing the application, you simply need to double-click the icon on your desktop again, click "Ok" in the window that pops up, and then click the yellow icon at the very top left again. |
