I have over 20 years experience in all
aspects of process plant and control room
operations in the petrochemical and utilities
industries.
I am looking for a fresh challenge in the
offshore industry where I can use my
experience, skills and qualifications.
I have a HNC qualification in process plant
operation and have current BOSIET offshore
survival and medical certificates.
An offshore role and the working pattern that
is involved particularly appeals to me as I
am
hoping to move to France to live in a nicer
climate with better quality of life.
I was just wondering what the best way of
getting myself known to the companies would
be, any information would be much
appreciated.

STAFF, A LOT OF OFFSHORE COMPANIES ARE TRYING
TO GET NEW STARTS SO THEY CAN TRAIN THEM TO
THERE STANDARDS.....UNLIKE OTHER AGENCIES,
THEY DONT CHARGE YOU A % OF YOUR EARNINGS,
THEY CHARGE A ONE OFF PAYMENT OF £49.50 TO
GET ON THE DATABASE. THEY HAVE A GOOD SUCCESS
RATE,THEY EVEN GIVE ADVICE ETC ON COURSES.. I
GOT ON THE DATABASE LAST YEAR WHEN THEY FIRST
STARTED AND I HAVE NOW GOT A DECENT OFFSHORE
JOB WORKING IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH
SEA...IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE THE DETAILS LET ME

ANDY, DONT KNOW IF YOU'VE EVER GIVEN THOUGHT
TO FLORIDA OR LOUISIANA IN THE USA. I WORKED
FOR TENACO OIL 70 MILES OUT IN THE GULF OF
MEXICO..(AS A COOK THO) SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE
WITH YER QUALIFICATIONS COULD MIKE SOME MAJOR

Hi all another new offshore wannabe here,
i've done my pan european and greenhand
course and also have city & guilds mechanical
qualifications and basic engineering just
wondered if you could help with some good
directions as i seem to get passed all over
by different agencys and never get anyplace
fast. Any help would be great phone numbers
or names of new start helping companies would
be of massive help sick of havin to shell out
this money to get told i need more courses
many thanks very skint and think i developed
some strange disease from being on the phone
