girl. Gona ask some advice if thats ok? Is
fasting during ramadan healthy? I done it for
one day coz boyfriend is fasting an i felt
ill, i know its good 4 the religous side of
things, but what about health wise? |

but because he is unable 2 drink water during
the fast, he cant take his medication 4 blood
presure etc. Would breaking the fast to take
medicine be ok? |

Why on earth would any normal sane human
being not eat anything for 30 days.. where`s
the sense in that...?... is it that you are
so poor you are trying to save money on
food.. Not.. a very good idea.
What is a good muslim girl...? Is it one

Ramadam is only a fast during daylight.
Some devout take the time of fasting as
sunrise/sunset on Mecca about 3 hours ahead
of UK. This means they have to breakfast
around 03.00.
After sunset, across the Muslim world its
like Christmas dinner for a whole month as
the faithful gorge themselves senseless.
IN no way is that good for a body or soul
My pal who worked in a Saudi hospital said
that all staff were drafted in on Ramadam
about 3 hours after sunset to cope with the
carnage of overstuffed feasters and that
Saudi colleagues avoided work like the
plague. It Ramadam happens in Winter it is
much better than midsummer for those who dont
keep their timing from Mecca.
A muslim in north Norway would just skip
morning coffee !!
If you have medical need of food and drink
during Ramadam you can just take the fast
days at other times.
Having a fast in a REALLY hot country when
you can't take water was a rather bit of bad
planning by Allah |

try an english woman, they go out on
weekends, blow their hard earned cash on
booze, wear short skirts and fall over when
theyre drunk to reveal their knickers to
everyone. just watch the police programmes on
tv, you'll see what i mean.Thats great aint

I read this post with some interest. I
wandered why it was that you said that you
were not Muslim, but were a good girl. You do
understand that you DON'T have to be Muslim
to be a "Good girl" don't you? You DO realize
that NOT ALL Muslim girls are "Good Girls"
don't you?? My personal view is that if your
Parents bought you up in a decent way you
will need no "God" to be respectful to
others.
Can I ask you if there is ANY pressure
from your Muslim boyfriend to convert to
Islam?
The notion of fasting is a noble one and
a good gesture, but a a LOT more is needed to
sort out the problems of this world. |

Fasting is a TOKEN gesture by people who HAVE
it ALL and maybe feel a little guilty about
it. So....to prove how pious and 'GOOD' they
actually are and 'GOOD' above other mere
mortals......they say "Hey....lok at me....I
am not eating for a while....this is what it
must feel like to starve. do I not show REAL
understanding therefore for the poor and
hungry? Do I not show more Humanity and
caring for them than others?" It makes you
feel superior for a while....and all the
other so called benefits you espouse are only
placebos and perhaps temporary.
It COULD be argued that if EVERYONE were
to eat a little less occassionally....this
world MAY be a better place and if THAT is
what you are teaching then all well and good.
However.....YOU will fast for a while and go
back to being satisfied rather than hungry
because YOU have the choice. REALLY poor
people DON'T. |

Lol, of course fasting is good for
physiological and emotional disorders you
forget the devastating effects of your
boyfriend turning up 2 min late or not being
able to find the right shade of lipstick
while you focus on trying not to die.
Its a certainly a religious thing, guilt for
being alive, self loathing which must be
purged with suffering.
Interestingly we are designed for a little
starvation and lab rats live longer if you
starve them, just be honest with yourself as
to why you are doing it. |
