my eldest son has his ear pierced, he'd
wanted it done for ages so i agreed! no harm
done in it is there, if men want 2 wear ear
rings then thats their choices, no one has 2
agree
There's nothing wrong with men wearing ear
rings and i don't think a blokes gonna walk
around with big hoopy rings on his ears.I
know a bloke from bike rallies and he's got
alot of piercings about 10 on each ear and
has those kind of stopper looking ones in his
ear lobes and has 4 nose rings and 3 eyebrow
rings on each side.
I would never get away with it these days,
but some years ago one of my soldiers used to
take great delight in saying “goodnight, Sir”
as he was leaving barracks and pointing to
his earring.
As he never wore it when in uniform, there
was not much I could do about it, but
something had to be done.
One morning, after ‘breakfast parade’, I said
to him in front of the rest of the troop that
the hole in his ear lobe was clearly a health
hazard and that he had to cover it up with a
plaster for his own safety. I also told him
to report to the squadron sergeant-major each
hour, on the hour to ensure that the plaster
was clean.
The sergeant-major always ‘found’ a bit of
dirt on it and ripped it from his ear before
making him replace it. After three days he
gave up wearing an earring because he simply
couldn’t get it in.
His final words on the subject were “you win,
Sir”.
And on that happy note, I’ll say goodnight to
you all.
Not a sadist, Suze - he was deliberately
trying to contest my authority and was being
'egged on' by other soldiers in my troop, so
I made an example of him.
A hundred years ago I'd just have had him
flogged, but that is perhaps a little severe
for wearing a bit of jewellery.
These days, I notice if a man is wearing an
earring, but would not comment on it unless I
knew him well.
At which point I would ask him about his
sexuality. Funny how many have stopped
wearing them after that.....
my son has his done but he got feed up of it
and let the hole close up
now if it had been a tat he would of been
stuck with it
I have my ears done 3 times and that was over
25 years ago when it was un heard of to have
your ears done more then once
but every one has it done now so let my holes
close up too
I think mens jewellery is changing and is
becoming far more sophisticated. I bought a
diamond stud earring from
[censored]homme-rock[censored] for my husband
for his Birthday. It looks really subtle and
classy.
