Hey, i made the mistake of dropping my phone
in some water, the phone is a samsung g600,
only had it for about two weeks, and it was
in the water for about 10 seconds at the
most....took the battery out and the sim
card, left it to dry out overnight, put the
battery back in and charged it fully up, put
the sim card back in and the phone started
up
fine, but it keeps saying no service, even
though i know the sim card is fine because
ive had it in another phone....any ideas or
suggestions please, really dont want to have
to fork out £130 for another phone lol ...and
no suggestions saying dont drop it in water
lol, i know what you lot are like.
I cant help much more really, what I would
suggest maybe is take it to a phone shop and
ask them to have a look and tell you what
might be wrong and how much to fix, they will
probably charge you a fee.
Take it a mobile phone shop and see what they
can do for you. They know about phones and
what to do with them. Trying to get help from
a forums post is not going to change things
with your phone we are not the right people
to solve a problem like this.
ur phone is goin to get worse u can get a
secnd hand g600 for 60 quid and thats what a
phone shop will charge u to get it fixed so u
mite aswel get a different phone but hay
thats just me so gd luck lol?
It ridiculous how much we spend on phones
considering how cheaply it can be made! For
instance the guy who has the £130 phone
probably has no idea of the corporate
[censored] shaft he's taking. The phone cost
roundabout £15 to make. lol I say take the
phone back to the shop and tell truth "it
doesn't work, just couldn't get it to go on"!
and get ur replacement. If asked to sign
anything or give details, then lie. Don't
want them tracing the soggy phone to you!
Have you registered the phone?
I just said that trying to get help on this
matter is not idea for a forum post and we
are not right people to ask. Said you should
take it to a phone shop where people who know
stuff on phones plus have been trained up etc
can help you. If you see my help as moaning
then that is up to you. I was just saying
your better off getting help that way. If you
didn't like my help plus took things the
wrong way then that is up to you.
HAD IT HAPPEN TO ME, EVEN THO IT CHARGED UP,
INNERWORKING OF PHONE ARE **SHOT** (TRUST ME
ON THIS ONE).
TAKE IT TO STORE U BOUGHT IT FROM, THEY CAN
TRANSFER EVERYTHING FROM YER SIM CARD TO A
NEW CARD. CHANCES ARE YOU GOTTA GET A NEW
PHONE BUT SIM WILL BE SALVAGED!
