(edited)! I haven't even looked at my license
for years but apparently they have to be
renewed every 10 years for £17.50 and if you
are caught with an expired photo-card license
there is a fine of £1000!
Old paper licenses are valid for life but if
you got a photo-card license at the time of
the changeover (10 years ago) you might want
to check now. Mine is due next year.
