my partner and I are thinking about moving to
Northampton. We would like to know what it
like to live in (or the surounding areas).
The best and worst bits, what to for a 25 and
30 yr old who have a dog and are looking to
buy a house. Any info would be great help!
I lived there for a few years and liked
it.there's plenty to do and see and it's dead
close to Milton Keynes for shopping, and
close to Luton airport too.
I'd get a list of council housing areas and
pretty much avoid those areas, though it's a
shame, cos i knopw someone who had a gorgeous
5 bedroom detached house right in the middle
of one of the worst areas.
I lived in Abington, where there is good and
bad but I really liked it.
take no notice of the cartoon pic brigade.
northampton is a oasis of culture and light
in a sea of despondency and gloom.
it retains its British culture in a way that
many a town hasn't.
i recommend it to you being of sound mind.
nuthin wrong with council areas some really
sound ppl live there ive been in council
accomadation all my life and never had a prob
as ppl say its what u make it its ppl like u
who tar ppl with sme brush u snob.
once again id like to point out that taking
the word of people who are too afraid to show
themselves isnt a good idea.
fk the cartoonies listen to the real people.
I'm just wondering how many uneducated people
think Northampton is in the North or close to
Southampton, really makes me laugh, buy a
Map.
I'm in Grange Park which is nice, not a lot
to do however as it is a bit away from
everywhere. If you drive its perfect, fields
near by, lots of places to walk, not far from
a forest as you have a dog.
I agree chris there are some dives,
Southfields etc, however, there are some
lovely areas (more south Northampton) all
areas have their problems, and compared to
where i used to live (London) this place is
extremely quiet.
If the children being eaten are from the less
desireable areas (Southfields etc) I say keep
the feast alive.
