Yes, she does come across as being quite
distinguished . I spoke to her a few days ago
actually , shes in the U.S at the moment,
visiting her daughter .
Is it to do with money?
Is it your job?
What sort of house you live in?
Is it education?
Or is it a social thing...
What struck me last night with John Prescott
was the 3 girls he talked to...its not that
their not well educated, its that they had
very little knowledge of the world around
them, or even the city they live in. Its like
they live in a country like North Vietnam
where information in restricted.
Yes I warmed to JP as well.
Difficult question to answer anyway...i'll
leave it up to the 'professionals' to
decide.

Posting about sex topics could be seen as a
bit of a give away as to lack of class and
also threatening ppl with physical violence
lacks 'refinement and decorum'
Im not sure its a matter of actual 'social'
class though
Dunno what I am. I dont work but hubby does.
Does that make him working class and me lower
class? Or because he earns shedloads of money
am I middle class? I have 2 houses in UK so
does that make me upper class? I travel
abroad a very lot. I dunno what I are.
1. Working class
2. Middle Class
3. Champagne Socialist
3. Working Class
4. Middle Class
5. Middle Class
6. Upper Class
7. Working Class
8. Working Class boy who done good and is now
Middle Class
I'd put Michael Winner and Simon Rattle the
same as their both at the top of the artistic
tree.
I think wealth and celebrity create people
who do not want to mix with others, such as
footballers mixing with fans, so they
automatically fit into middle classdom. As do
Politicians.
How you judge me Ive no idea!! maybe you can
enlighten me. Wikapedia says that lawyers,
engineers, doctors and clergy are middle
class and if thats the case it puts me
there.
Eton? Harrow? Rugby? Then on to Oxbridge =
Uppers.
Minor Private School, then Oxbridge =
Middle.
Comprehensive - decent job or University and
a plethora of other occupations.W/Class
There is nothing wrong with being working
class.
I was taught that if you want to have money
in your pocket, then you work for it.
I'm working class, and so what?
I could've have attended Roedean Girls
School, my late Grandmother lived in Roedean
and was married to Cyril Woodc0ck, one of the
worlds leading experts on violins, he also
owned an antique shop which was situated in
The Lanes at Brighton.
Which is probaly why I enjoy watching
programmes like the Antiques Roadshow.
From a young age, I was taught social
etiqutte, and how to conduct myself when, as
my dad calls it...do posh.
If my mother had agreed for me to attend
Roedean School, maybe my life would have been
different.....but I don't regret the life
that I have had, because what it has taught
me, is to appreciate what I have in my life,
and not to take them for granted.
It has also taught me, not to pretend to be
something which I'm not...I'm not superior
to anybody, and nobody is superior to me.
I have gained my status in life by sheer hard
work and lives experiences, which has set my
own values and opinions.
So overall Fluke, you cannot make a general
assumption on a persons *class*, by the
topics or replies they post, and neither can
you assume the level of their intelligence by
their posts.
My dad is very well educated, he is also a
brilliant mathmetician, and yet he
says....who cares about spelling when using
messenger or websites?
Do you think that natural class can exist
within one reguardless to social status or
income level ? If so, is class a state of
mind ,a state of being, as they say in
Ireland, what is good, is what is good for
the soul,or what is good is what you can
keep.
However it translates, is it possible that
class, once you obtain it, it than becomes
something you keep. And if so, do you think
it develops . Or is it a natural progressive
thing ? Natural Class.
By the way Mr. cat, our tuba player over on a
different thread showed up this morning
stinking of gin and had to be released. As a
result of that, we are short a tuba player in
our high flying marching band ,which is
critical to the cause of charity in this
season of need. Also the ownner of the
largest department store in London has
declaired war on us. The Salvation Army now
has a selective service draft . Do you know
of any tuba players? And others that may be
interested in serving the cause on our shores
and at our stores ?
