It was so good to 'see' you again
After oh so many years
And I didn't mean to upset you

In a calm and tranquil sleep
I entered it in a competition in the hopes
that it would be printed in a book for her
family to have, that one didn't make it to
the final but another one of mine did - so
thats just been printed instead BUT never
mind - I'll print it out & have it laminated
for her family.

Did post this last week I think - wasn't
allowed to before till it came out in the
book, it's a load of 'tosh' it only took
bowt 3 mins to write
WINDOW TO THE WORLD
The world outside my window
I often have a look
I'm supposed to say something poetic
Like 'the gently babbling brook'
I can see empty crisp packets
Floating down so merrily
The tadpoles are in lager cans
I suppose it'll all float out to sea
There has been a car crash
Wrapped around the majestic oak
Lets hope it didn't flatten
All the elf and fairy folk
Okay I'll close the blinds now
And drift away to sleep
Float on the gossamer of dreamland
Whose secrets I shall keep
Ok - you have to pay me now coz I got the
printing rights haha lol
Thanx Cathy - but I only did it for the 1st
time this year for my mate who died, before I
just used to write bits of stuff, funny or
otherwise in family/friends birthday cards +
stuff for familys graves on their
birthdays/chrimbo etc. I'm not a poet - I
just know how to rhyme & string a couple of
sentences together!
I have a fear of artists n poets coz usually
their heads are stuck too far up their own
an.us
