Across the field, his foe so brave,Bold his
feature's,Hope the eye that hold's the
belief,so small the price,(life).

All that life is,Iam today.
When you take my life,
you take my meaning, without meaning there is
no life.
So i will be, just me,
But in me,Then know why i ask,
"Who am I".

In field's of valour,of poppie's scent,
I hold this ground,All that i believe,
it is this day of hope and dream's,
This day i die.

To hold the thought's of man.
Free of the restraint's of speech,
I die this day,
"A soldier brave".

Gas! Gas! Quick, boys! -- - An ecstasy of
fumbling
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time,
But someone still was yelling out and
stumbling
And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime.
-- -
Dim through the misty panes and thick green
light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

~ Wilfred Owen: Dulce et Decorum est
